SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY- TIRUPATI

Admission Notification  M.V.Sc/M.Tech(DMB/DTH) /Ph.D for the Academic year 2016-2017

Applications from eligible candidates are invited for admission into M.V.Sc/M.Tech (Dairy Technology/Dairy Microbiology) courses and Ph.D courses in Veterinary Sciences for the academic year 2016-2017. The candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh who fulfill the residential requirements of A.P. Educational Institutions Order 1974 (Presidential Order) only are eligible to seek admission under 85% seats. Under15% seats candidates belonging to both Andhra Pradesh & Telengana are eligible. However candidates belonging to Telengana are not eligible for stipend. For Ph.D programmes In-service/Fresh candidates belonging to other states shall be treated as fresh candidates and seats for them shall be over and above the allotted seats.  Seats under industry sponsored category are also available for MVSc & PhD for which entrance examination is waived.


How to apply:  The applications shall be downloaded from www.svvu.edu.in The duly filled in application along with attested copies of required certificates and a crossed demand draft for Rs.1000/- towards Registration fee Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) drawn on any Nationalized bank favouring Comptroller, SVVU, payable at Tirupati, should reach the Registrar, SVVU, Administrative Office Dr.Y.S.R.Bhavan, Tirupati – 517 502 on or before 15-11-2016 by 4.00 PM either in person or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due.  Applications received after this due date will summarily be rejected.  Candidates who are in employment should send their applications through proper channel failing which they will be summarily rejected. IIT  JEE (MAIN) 2017

Indian nationals (including PIO/OCI) who wish to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017  must write Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2017 which will be held in the month of April
2017. Further information about JEE (Main) 2017 may be obtained from the  website www.jeemain.nic.in.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN NATIONALS (including PIO/OCI)
FOR APPEARING IN JEE (ADVANCED) 2017
All the candidates must fulfil each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.   Criterion 1 – Performance in JEE (Main) 2017: Candidates should be among the top  2,20,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE  (Main) 2017.  The percentages of various categories are: 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for  ST and the remaining 50.5% is OPEN for all. Within each of these four categories, 3% horizontal reservation is available for PwD (including Dyslexic) candidates.  As shown in the following table, the usual order will be followed while choosing top 2,20,000 candidates in various categories who have scored positive marks in JEE (Main) 2017.

1992. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1987.
Criterion 3 – Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years. Therefore, candidates who appeared
in JEE (Advanced) 2016 for the first time are also eligible. Criterion 4 – Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2016 or 2017. However, candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) examination Board results for the academic year 2014-15 were declared after June 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.
Criterion 5 – Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program) OR

   
14. accepted the IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. The candidates whose admission at IITs was cancelled are also NOT eligible to appear in JEE
(Advanced) 2017.  Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2016 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017. The candidates who have paid seat acceptance fee but not accepted the seat (by not reporting at any reporting centre during joint seat allocation in 2016) are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

11. REGISTRATION FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2017
Eligibility: The candidate should satisfy each and every one of the five eligibility criteria [see 10. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN JEE (ADVANCED)
2017]. Registration will be cancelled if, at a later date, it is found that the candidate does not meet any of these five eligibility criteria. Registration Portal: Candidates should register for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2017. Registration is only through the online portal where detailed instructions will be provided. 15 Registration Procedure: The procedure consists of three basic steps.

Step-1: After login, provide the basic data including the choice of the language of question paper (English or Hindi), the choices of the cities for the examination [See 18. CITIES AND TOWNS WHERE JEE (ADVANCED) 2017 WILL BE HELD]. The candidate will have the option of adding another cell phone number on top of the number/s provided during JEE (Main) registration. Please note that the JEE (Advanced) 2017 result will be sent to one of these numbers by SMS.
 
Step-2: Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents [See 14. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION].

Step-3: Pay registration fee [See 12. REGISTRATION FEE FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2017].  Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.
